My Hobbies

Growing up in Washington, I spent a lot of time hiking and in the outdoors. There are so many beautiful trails and mountains to be explored in this state. As a little kid I grew tired of hiking all the time but looking back, I am fortunate to have been able to experience the outdoors my whole life. Now, it is something I am happy to do almost any time. Getting out in the middle of nowhere, away from all the regular activities of life is something that is rarely experienced today, I wish I could do it more often. In high school I was fortunate enough to start going on backpacking trips, which I quickly learned are even more of a special experience. Sleeping under the stars, miles away from the closest, small town, and seeing the special detail in the sky is quite rare.

Another thing I like to do is longboard. You can longboard to class, around town , cruise sidewalks, or bomb hills. So many options for whatever you may be feeling. Longboarding also comes with its share of unique expierences. Going 20+ mph down a hill, freely standing on a piece of board with wheels, is a unique experience that I will always enjoy.

The third and newest of what I suppose I would consider my main hobbies, is photograpghy. I took a photography class my freshmen year of college and that class really made me enjoy and appreciate photography. I enjoy expressing myself artistically through creating unique images. Photography is a way to save special memories to look back on in a world that doesn’t wait.
